MILITARY FACULTY OF THE BELORUSSIAN STATE UNIVERSITY

    The military faculty started with the chair of the Belorussian State University, which was formed on the 4th November 1926, in accordance with the order of the Revolutionary council of war.
    Till 2003 the military department has prepared thousand reserve officers on 13 military-registration specialities and in 2003 it has been transformed to military faculty of the Belorussian State University.

    Preparation of students on military department is carried on:
      On programs of preparation of reserve officers - on 9 specialities;
      On programs of preparation of yunior military experts on 15 specialities


    The future regular officers are prepared on 6 prestigious specialities:
    - Psychology (specialization - moral and psychological support of military activity)
    - Chemistry ( a direction - radioactive, chemical and biological protection)
    - Journalism (a direction - printing mass-media, specialization - military journalist)
    - Legal law ( specialization - legal advisering operation in military sphere)
    - International relations ( specialization - international relations in military sphere)
    - Geography ( a direction - geoinformational systems, specialization - GIS military-oriented)


    Departments:
    - department of fighting application of artillery
    - department of antiaircraft defence
    - аll-military department which includes 2 cycles: cycle of all-military disciplines and a cyclе of military - special disciplines
    - department of radioactive, chemical, biological protection


    The basic goals of faculty are:
      preparation of officers for Armed forces and other departments of Belarus;
      creation and development of patriotically feeling to the people and the country, the Constitution of Belarus; a high science of responsibility for fulfillment of the official debt;
      the organization of protection of the state secrets, its support and the control in own activity.

    Except social-humane, natural-scientific and all-professional disciplines graduates receive at military department knowledges and skills under the direction of the experienced teaching staff of BSU, which are necessary for the future officers. The department is equipped by educational laboratories, computer classes, specialized lecture rooms, lessons are spent with using of learning and inspecting programs that gives the chance to cadets to acquire knowledges and skills, allowing to be realized in the future trade.
